International IT Services Becomes Development Partner for Exclusive Licensee of NTT Software Corporation, Japan 's Mobile Wireless Leader
RALEIGH, N.C. and HOUSTON, TX (December 6, 2004) - International IT Services, Ltd. (IITS) announced it signed a partnership agreement with Vuico, LLC of Houston, Texas, to outsource the development and localization of mobile wireless games and applications for the US market. Vuico, a leader in mobile wireless application development in the United States , holds an exclusive US license for Japan 's NTT Software Corp.'s mobile wireless platform called BlueGrid®. The partnership with IITS will enable Vuico to provide volumes of Japanese cell phone games and other content to the US market in 2005.
"We needed a partner who could port and test hundreds of mobile wireless applications, and we selected IITS for their wireless mobile capability and their commitment to quality," said Vui Le , president and CEO of Vuico. In a time when mobile wireless application enabling is sweeping the country, Vuico secured a dedicated team that will work exclusive on its demanding objectives and rapidly port and test J2ME™ and BREW™ applications at a fast pace and low cost. Tien Vu , Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategic Alliances at Vuico, believes that "not only will the deal significantly reduce the development costs for Vuico, but it will also create more joint opportunities in the future." The rapid development and porting will enable Vuico to better serve its customers with fresh content and games at an attractive price point. "The scale will grow exponentially as we have no shortage of licensed content. In an entertainment market that has almost a cult following of Japanese video games and graphic design, we are filling a niche that has not been met by the competition," Le added.
For its part, IITS is committed to provide a significant technical team at its facility in Asia that will provide development, platform porting and testing exclusively for Vuico. IITS provides dedicated development, porting and testing teams to several mobile wireless companies. Competitors' teams remain separate and the company observers the strictest of intellectual property protection procedures.
